Toledo is a museum itself, with arts in every corner, not to mention that its unique architecture captures the eyes of the tourist even before entering the city. It’s an impressive city that gives a feeling of being in a fortress since it is surrounded by mountains, huge walls and flowing river. Of course, the city, that is so rich in its history and architecture, has museums that are definitely worth to visit:
El Greco Museum
It is a fine arts museum where you can find works of El Greco (Domenikos Theotokopoulos) from 16th-17th centuries. This exhibition of famous paintings can show the culture of Toledo of that time.

Shephardic museum
It is for anyone who is interested in the history of the Jews in Spain, the Sephardi. This museum is located in the “Synagogue of El Transito”, in the Jewish quarter of Toledo.

Santa Cruz Museum
It is a fine arts and archaeological museum. The collection is located in the Hospital de Santa Cruz, and old hospice from the XVI century rich in Renaissance ornamentation.
- Free admission during 2014, then 6€ together with the Visigothic Culture Museum.

Visigothic Culture museum
It is for people who are interested in the Visigoths of Toledo, it is located in San Román Church, a Christian temple with spectacular Romanesque frescoes well preserved. You can find, among other objects, a replica of the Treasure of Guarrazar.

Toledo Cathedral
It is an outstanding Gothic cathedral from the 13th century. The Sacristy of the Cathedral contains important paintings which were created by renowned artists like El Greco, Goya, Van Dick and many others.
